Yes. Turn on "Remove background" and it makes the background around the edges transparent, which works well for images on a plain color. Raise or lower the tolerance until the edges look clean.
Twitch emote files must be small PNGs (under 1 MB), and Discord emoji must be under 256 KB. Emotes at these sizes are tiny, so both limits are met easily.
